Canon imageRUNNER 2425i is a monochrome laser MFP for paper up to A3, aimed at small and medium offices. It combines printing, copying, scanning and sending scans in one device. Unlike the 2425, the 2425i comes with a duplexing automatic document feeder (DADF) as standard.
Printing and connectivity
It prints and copies up to 25 pages per minute in A4 and up to 12 pages per minute in A3, with the first copy in about 7.4 seconds. Duplex printing is automatic. The 50-sheet DADF scans both sides of the sheet: up to 35 ipm single-sided (B/W, 300 dpi) and up to 12 ipm double-sided. Scans can be sent to email, a network folder (SMB), FTP, WebDAV or a USB drive as PDF, TIFF, JPEG, XPS or Office Open XML.
Connect via Gigabit Ethernet, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n or USB. UFR II and PCL6 are standard, with Adobe PostScript 3 as an option. AirPrint, Mopria, Canon PRINT Business and uniFLOW Online support printing from mobile devices and the cloud. It is operated from a 7-inch colour touchscreen. Security features include user and department ID authentication, Secure Print, encrypted PDF, TLS, IPsec, IEEE 802.1X and SNMPv3.

In the box
This is the imageRUNNER 2425i version, with the DADF included as standard. The extra cassette, pedestal and fax board (Super G3 FAX Board-BE1) are not included. According to supplier data, the C-EXV 60 toner is not included and is purchased separately.
Important details
Fax is not standard: it requires the Super G3 FAX Board-BE1 and a phone line. Colour scanning is limited to 300 × 300 dpi. The DADF scans two-sided originals by flipping the sheet, so duplex scanning is much slower than single-sided. The cassette takes 64–90 gsm paper; heavier paper and envelopes go through the multi-purpose tray. The device weighs about 39.2 kg and needs roughly 1065 × 1285 mm of space.
