Tenda F6 is designed for a basic home network or small workspace. It connects phones and laptops over Wi-Fi, while a computer, TV or another Ethernet device can use a cable. It is a practical choice for everyday browsing and communication on Internet connections up to 100 Mbps.
Wireless networking and ports
The router operates on 2.4 GHz and supports IEEE 802.11b/g/n with a theoretical wireless link rate up to 300 Mbps. Four external 5 dBi antennas help distribute coverage; walls, placement and neighbouring networks affect the result. A dedicated WAN port and three LAN ports provide wired connectivity, all at 10/100 Mbps.
Deployment options
- Router mode for an Internet provider connection.
- Access Point mode to add Wi-Fi to an existing wired network.
- WISP and universal repeater modes for a compatible wireless upstream network.
- WPA/WPA2 security and a combined WiFi/Reset button.
Package contents
Tenda F6 router, power adapter, Ethernet cable and installation guide. Your provider’s connection settings must be configured separately.
Important limitations
This is a 2.4 GHz-only router, with no 5 GHz radio or Gigabit Ethernet ports. The 300 Mbps figure is a theoretical Wi-Fi link rate rather than guaranteed Internet throughput. The wired WAN is limited to 100 Mbps; useful throughput is lower and depends on conditions. The F6 does not include a cellular SIM modem.
