This TP-Link Deco E4 two-pack creates one Wi-Fi network with a single name and password. Placing the Deco units in different parts of the home helps extend wireless access into rooms where the signal from a single router is weak.
Dual-band AC1200 Wi-Fi distributes connections across 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz. The Deco app guides setup and provides network, guest-access and parental-control management. The system can operate as a router or as access points connected to an existing router.

Compatibility and setup
Works with other Deco models in a shared mesh network. Setup uses the Deco mobile app, a TP-Link account and an internet connection. Fast-roaming results also depend on client-device capabilities. A separate modem may be required for your service provider’s connection type.

Important limitations
Ethernet ports are limited to 100 Mbps; real internet throughput may be lower. AC1200 describes the combined theoretical wireless speed class across two bands, not one device’s internet speed.
