APC Easy UPS On-Line SRV1KI-E is a compact 1000 VA/900 W tower UPS for compatible servers, network and storage equipment, and other IT devices that need conditioned power. Its online double-conversion architecture continuously converts incoming power before supplying the load, while the included battery provides temporary backup during a mains outage. The unit is intended for vertical tower installation, not rack mounting.
Electrical specifications
- Rated output: 1000 VA and 900 W; size the connected load within both limits.
- Pure sine-wave output, nominally 230 V, configurable to 220, 230 or 240 V.
- Input voltage range: 180–285 V at full load; 110–285 V at 40% load.
- Input frequency range: 40–70 Hz, with automatic sensing.
- Full-load efficiency: 88%; static output voltage regulation: ±1%.
- LCD, USB and RS232 serial communication; intelligent card slot for optional network management.
- Internal automatic and manual bypass.
- Dimensions (H × W × D): 223 × 145 × 288 mm; net weight: 9.6 kg.
Connections and accessories
An IEC C14 inlet supplies the UPS, and three IEC C13 outlets connect compatible equipment. These are IEC appliance connectors, so check device cables rather than assuming household plugs will fit. The documented accessory set includes a 1.5 m Schuko-to-C13 input cable, a 1.8 m C13-to-C14 output cable, a USB cable and an RS232 cable. The network management card is optional and is not included. The bypass path can supply the load from the mains under the supported operating conditions; it is not a second battery-backed source.
Battery and installation
A maintenance-free sealed lead-acid VRLA battery module is included, rated at 24 V and 9 Ah. The specified replacement cartridge is APC APCRBCV203. Typical recharge time is around four hours. Use the UPS in a ventilated indoor environment within the standard 0–40 °C operating range and observe its IP20 enclosure rating.
Load and runtime planning
Actual backup time depends on connected wattage, battery condition, charge level and ambient temperature. The wider 110 V input limit applies at 40% load, not at the full 900 W rating. Leave headroom for equipment start-up and plan an orderly shutdown before the battery is depleted. No fixed runtime or ability to power every type of appliance is implied.
